Why subscribe?
I’m in the process of writing/updating this as I get more Substack content out there - so here’s my work-in-progress, what-to-expect page! It came with a template page already filled out by Substack and, to be honest, I stared at it for a long time wondering what to write instead. I’ll gradually erase the off-the-peg version and insert my own blurb here. An ongoing upcycle project, if you will.
Subscribe to get full access to the newsletter and website. Never miss an update. [Substack wrote this bit, not me. But I wrote this:]
This is what I’m bribing you with offering if you subscribe:
One (I hope) entertaining newsletter a week. More if you subscribe (see last bullet point)
Ramblings about ageing. I became an quinquagenarian in 2022 and being in your 50s gives you a whole load of stuff to
moantalk aboutA lot of observations about countryside living by someone who still just about considers themselves a Londoner
Stories about stuff that happens/happened to me (most likely flowered-up just a bit for dramatic flair) in a way that I hope will bring a knowing smile to your face. “Yeah, that happened to me too, oh god…”
Thoughts about perimenopause and what an absolute =COUGH= joy it is
Dog stuff. I love dogs. I’m a dog mum. I’ll write about dogs. Expect dog content.
If you pay for content I’ll write an extra something just for you. I’m switching on paid subscriptions soon and when I do you’ll get the extra juicy stuff that’ll most likely be the most embarrassing, personal stuff. It might also be a bit poignant. But whether it’s funny, sad or a bit of both, I’ll make it especially heartfelt.
Stay up-to-date
You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox. [Substack wrote that. It’s true.]
About me
You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox. [Oops that was a cut-and-paste section, must get onto editing that. In the meantime, you might like to read more about me on my About Me page of my blog Not Dressed As Lamb. Don’t forget to come back here.]
Join the crew
Be part of a community of people who share your interests. [Substack wrote that too… I’ll come up with a better word than crew. I just want you to be my best friend, that okay with you? That line worked on my school BFF on my second day of secondary school so it’s a tried-and-tested formula, I know it works. Hi Jo x]
